On Friday, November 10th, the Pathfinder Arts & Entrepreneurial Center (PAEC) hosted an art opening in their gallery for Huntington-based artist Bryan Ballinger, also known as ‘Breadwig’! The event had a diverse audience of adults and children. Ballinger’s artwork showcased humor that captivated the children and brought out the inner child in the adults.

During the evening, Breadwig autographed copies of his latest picture book, ‘The Big Wig Parade’, which was released this month. The book’s pages were displayed on the gallery walls, inviting attendees to engage with the artwork and sparking discussions about its humor.

Breadwig’s animations were showcased on monitors, while his sculptures were exhibited throughout the space. Visitors were seen closely examining the sculptures, pausing to watch the screens, and engaging in lively conversations. The holiday spirit was also incorporated, with a Christmas tree in the corner adorned with sculptures as ornaments, adding to the diverse curation of artwork.

Upon arrival at the art gallery, visitors received a raffle ticket for a chance to win a unique piece of artwork by Breadwig. Towards the end of the evening, the raffle prize was awarded, followed by an impromptu Q&A session. The artist enthusiastically answered all questions, providing insights into his creative process, studio practice, imagination, and inspirations.

The Breadwig art exhibition will be on display until January 6th, 2024. We believe that his artwork would make wonderful gifts for those who appreciate whimsy and for dog lovers. The children’s book is a must-have for every child’s bookshelf, as it offers timeless enjoyment and growth.

Visit the PAEC to view the exhibition without delay. The gallery is open Wednesday to Friday from 10am to 6pm, and Saturday from 12pm to 4pm. The PAEC is located at 32 E. Franklin Street, Huntington, IN 46750.
