Join instructor Luke Vickery for a fascinating journey into the world of hand building with slabs in our dynamic Slab Building Class. This six-week course, running every Tuesday night from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM, will guide you through various techniques and projects.

The course starts with a session on PRESS/SLUMP MOLDING, where you’ll create functional pieces like soap dishes, trays, and plates. Then, you’ll explore CYLINDERS, constructing unique mugs and tumblers. The third session will focus on crafting GEOMETRIC SHAPES into vases or abstract art pieces.

In the fourth week, you’ll explore FREE FORM PATTERNS, creating beautiful vases, bowls, or abstract art. The penultimate session will challenge you with LARGE FORMS, guiding you in the creation of a handled tray. Finally, you’ll spend the last week tying up LOOSE ENDS and finishing all your creative pieces.

The course costs $100, with all necessary materials, including clay, glazes, and firing services provided. Ongoing registration is available, but spaces are limited. Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to develop your handbuilding skills and create beautiful ceramic art.
