Printmaker, Katy Strass, invites you to the HAEC workshop studios to create handmade prints and obtain a collection of other artist’s prints. Participants will learn about the history of printmaking and explore different print mediums with the instructor. For their project, attendees will be using a linoleum printing plate used to transfer images and text to the surface being printed on.
People participating in the project will produce a one-of-a-kind linoleum printing plate. Plates will be hand printed on paper in a series of 5-inch by 7-inch images. All prints are created using recognized fine art print technique with archival materials. All materials are provided.
How the exchange works:
The series of prints produced at this workshop will consist of 13 prints per person to be submitted. HAEC will keep two prints; the first for exhibition and archives; the second for sale to fund future projects. The remaining 11 prints are distributed to each participant in the print exchange. People participating will receive 2 copies of their own printed piece and 9 other unique pieces of fine art from their peers.
