Every Monday starting on February 19th,  a fantastic class that combines various movement and mindfulness practices to promote physical and emotional well-being. It seems to offer participants a holistic experience that focuses on self-expression, balance, and connection. Here’s a breakdown of the key elements of the class:

Movement Variety: The class incorporates a blend of yoga, belly dance, and somatic movements. This diverse range of movements encourages participants to explore different ways of expressing themselves physically and connects them to their bodies.

Joyful Experience: The emphasis on “shimmying, shaking, and sweating to the music” suggests that the class is designed to be enjoyable and uplifting, fostering a sense of joy and release.

Body Connection: The class encourages participants to connect with their bodies and find joy within themselves. This focus on embodiment can help improve body awareness and promote a positive relationship with one’s physical self.

Taking Up Space: Encouraging participants to “take up space” is a powerful message that promotes self-confidence and self-assertion. It encourages individuals to own their presence and be unapologetically themselves.

Opening Hips and Heart: Yoga and belly dance are known for their ability to open and strengthen various parts of the body, including the hips and heart center. This can lead to improved flexibility, emotional release, and a sense of vulnerability and authenticity.

Balancing Energies: The class aims to balance masculine and feminine energies within each participant. This is a common concept in various spiritual and holistic practices, emphasizing the importance of harmony and integration between these energies.

Community Building: The invitation to “find your tribe” suggests that the class fosters a sense of community and belonging. Participants may form connections with others who share similar interests and goals in their wellness journey.

Self-Discovery: The class’s ultimate goal is for participants to “find your self.” This speaks to the idea that through movement, self-expression, and connection, individuals can embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth.

In summary, “EMBODY” offers a holistic and inclusive approach to wellness, blending movement, mindfulness, and connection. It encourages participants to embrace their bodies, explore their inner selves, and find joy in the process. It also fosters a sense of belonging within a supportive community.
