Holly Dowidat, of Dowidat Ceramics, invites you to HAEC for an intimate, hands-on clay experience! As visiting artist, Dowidat will take you on a six-week beginner’s wheel-throwing class. Focusing on the fundamentals of throwing, you will learn the step-by-step procedures of creating functional wares like bowls, mugs, and other pieces.
For your convenience and flexibility, Thursday classes will review Tuesday’s techniques. Open studio times allow time out of the instructed class for further practice and project completion. The class will have a firing schedule to ensure each piece is completed before the last day of class.
Make-up instructional days for bad weather would be Saturday 14th, 21, and 28th, 1 pm-3 pm.
