Art Hearts – Valentine Workshop Series

Program Description:
Make and take a set of valentines! Each week, selected materials and techniques will be explored to make a set of 5 Valentine’s Cards. People are welcome to attend one workshop or all four. Keep your valentines or give them to loved ones on Valentine’s Day. Attendees will also learn about contemporary history and fun facts about the holiday.
Schedule and project details:
January 21st – Heart Symmetry: acrylic painted, heart-shaped cards that explore ideas of balance and composition.
January 28th – Faux Stained Glass Heart: painted card using watercolor techniques and explore the use of line and texture.
February 4th – Love Rocks!: painted, glued, and glittered rocks with love and geologic puns written on the back.
February 11th – Your heart Inside my Heart Inside Your Heart: collaborative heart mandala cards designed to be done with a loved one. Mandalas can be done on your own with a loved one in mind.
